The Friends of Wheeling will be tour the former Hazel-Atlas Glass Factory (a.k.a. Wheeling Closure) on 19th and Jacob Streets (next to Carenbauer Distributing) in East Wheeling on May 20, 2015.
Much of this building, including the oldest section, will soon be demolished, while plans are for other parts to be saved and repurposed. This tour may be the last time we’re able to see at least part of the complex. Please note, floors are uneven, and there is a great deal of renovation and demolition material around.
Tour starts at 6:30. Please plan to wear closed-toe shoes and bring a flashlight.
