THE ORGANIST: Dave Calendine
Dave currently holds the position of Resident Organist and organ curator for Detroit’s Fox Theatre. He is also the organist for Southminster Presbyterian Church in Taylor, Michigan.
He began his musical career at age 3 with a player piano. By age 7, he was playing the piano at his church and he started playing the organ at age 15.
Dave has played fro the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular featuring the Rockettes, a solo concert tour through Germany and Switzerland, and venues in the US and Canada.
For his regular employment, Dave works in the operations department of Olympia Entertainment, one of the nations premier presenters of the sports and live entertainment (Fox Theatre, City Theatre, Hockeytown Cafe, Joe Louis Arena and Comerica Park).
THE ORGAN:
The organ used for this festival is an Allen Model ADC 4600 theatre organ.
THE PIANIST:
David Sherrick will play the piano beginning 30 minutes before each show and at intermission.
